There are plenty of ways to get connected at Life Center South. We think it is very important to have people around you who will support you when things get tough and have fun with when things are good.
If you are new to church, you may feel uncomfortable about meeting new people and it is easy to walk in and out on a Sunday without really getting connected . . .
Here are 2 simple ways to get connected at Life Center South:
Life Groups
Life groups are pockets of Life Center South people that meet at homes during the week. When we meet, we talk and eat together. After talking for a while we may sit down and have an organized time of sharing. We cover a variety of topics including the “big idea” for the week (the big idea is the overall topic of church that week) or we talk about what is going on in our lives. If you are new to the group, you will most likely be asked to introduce yourself, and you may be asked some questions about what you do for fun so that others in the group can get to know you. No one will make you talk if you don’t want to. We want to make you feel comfortable and get to know you. If the group is not a good fit for you, feel free to try another group. No one will be hurt or offended. Maybe you are a young person and the members of your group are in a different stage of life than you...we understand that. You should feel free to try on groups until one fits.
Serve
Do you have a special gift and want to see how it could fit in our services? Maybe you love working with your hands, or you have a passion for seeing young teens or children learn about Jesus? All of our volunteer teams function as a Life Group, so you can expect that whatever service you are providing to the church will also include fun times of hanging out and talking about life!
